Before you drop off please pack your equipment well and mark it with your own address and the unique job reference number. To enable us to process your job you must obtain a job reference number by contacting our Service Desk. Please include within your package your contact details, unique job number and any information which may assist our customer support team and laboratory technicians in dealing with recovering data from your hard disk etc. Once your hard disk, RAID or storage equipment etc, is received the following Data Recovery Service process will be carried out;

Stage 1:
Your equipment will be received and your job and contact details entered on our database. As soon as possible (normally same working day) our experts will diagnose your hard disk drive, memory stick, server, RAID equipment or storage media and will where appropriate prepare an evaluation report. The evaluation report will show what is wrong with your equipment or data, provide an estimate of when it may be possible to return your data to you.

Stage 2: Your formal agreement to our schedule of charges (if not already given) is required before we will proceed with our attempted repair and recovery work.

Stage 3: If a repair or recovery is not possible, or is unsuccessful then your storage media/computer equipment will be returned to you and thereafter you will incur no further costs.

Stage 4: Your data will recovered and repaired and a file listing prepared to check through. Once you are satisfied that your data has been retrieved we will create an offline back-up copy and an additional copy on return media will be prepared for despatch to your nominated address.

Stage 5: You pay the agreed recovery costs presented to you in our schedule of charges.

Stage 6: Once funds have been cleared, arrangements can be made to return your data back to you. This is usually by courier service.

Stage 7: As soon as is practicable and in all cases within 5 days, you must re-install and check your data.

Stage 8: After a mandatory period of 28 days subsequent to the despatch date your data will be erased from our offline server. Any further work in relation to your data will be charged separately.
